5 Things: Camp No Limits Bike-a-Thon

Saturday event to help children with limb loss.

This Saturday, Franklin Lakes is participating in a community bike-a-thon to benefit Camp No Limits. Here are five things to know: 

1. Camp No Limits is nonprofit organization founded in 2004 that provides camping opportunities for children with limb loss and their families. It has five camps across the country, in Maine, California, Idaho, Florida and Missouri.

2. The organization provides unique family camping experiences with peer support, occupational and physical therapy and functional ways to cope with daily activities.

3. The Bike-a-thon is part of the Mayor's Wellness Campaign and includes three courses with varied levels of difficulty, a 2-mile (bronze), 5-mile (silver) and 10-miles (gold).

4. Don't forget to bring your helmet to the event at Municipal Field on DeKorte Drive on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
