$75K Firefighting Grant Application To Be Submitted By Wyckoff
At a special meeting Tuesday, the Wyckoff Township Committee approved a resolution to apply for a grant for firefighting equipment.
WYCKOFF, NJ — A resolution authorizing submission of an application for a $75,000 grant for firefighting equipment was unanimously passed by the Wyckoff Township Committee in a special meeting Tuesday evening.
Funds to support the purchase of such equipment were appropriated by Gov. Phil Murphy from the federal American Rescue Plan Act, signed by President Joe Biden in 2021. The Division of Local Government Services, overseen by the Department of Community Affairs, will administer grant awards, the DCA said on a government website.
If awarded the grant, the township would use the funds for purchase of protective clothing, personal protective equipment and other fire/virus protection equipment as determined to be appropriate by the DLGS, Committee Member Tom Madigan said.
