Ash Wednesday Services

March 9 is Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent in the Christian Calendar. Services will be held at the following locations and times: 

, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes: Ash Services will be held at 12, 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. with an Ash Wednesday Mass at 7:30 p.m.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 25 Purdue Ave., Oakland: 8:30 a.m. Mass with ashes, 12 p.m. distribution of ashes, Mass with ashes 7 p.m.

St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 1 Church Lane, Oakland: 10:30 a.m. Ash Wednesday Service, 7:30 p.m. Ash Wednesday Service with choir.

Advent Lutheran Church, 777 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff: Ash Wednesday Worship Services at noon and 7:30 p.m.

Cornerstone Christian Church, 495 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff: The church will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m. for a time of individual prayer and reflection. 

Grace United Methodist Church, 555 Russell Ave., Wyckoff: Ash Wednesday Communion services at 12 and 7:30 p.m.

Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff: Daily Mass at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., and noon, Scripture Service at 4 p.m. and Lenten Mass at 7 p.m.  

First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, 15 Shuert Lane, Ramsey: Ash Wednesday Service 8 p.m.

St. Paul R.C. Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave., Ramsey: Ashes will be distributed during daily Mass at 7:30 a.m., noon and 7:30 p.m. as well as during the Liturgy of the Word service at 3:30 p.m.

, 125 Glasgow Terrace, Mahwah: Family Service 11:30 a.m., Church Service 7:30 p.m. (meatless soup and bread served beforehand, beginning at 6:30 p.m.)
