Bergen Community College: Bergenstages Season Honors Departed Faculty Member

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — This year, Bergen Community College’s student theatre troupe, Bergenstages, will dedicate its 52nd season to the memory of departed faculty member Jared Saltzman.

Bergenstages producer and theatre professor Jim Bumgardner said the season will “take us all on many exciting adventures through time, place and humanity” while serving as a living tribute to Saltzman, who passed away earlier this year.

Professor Salzman’s family, friends and colleagues have established a Bergen Community College Foundation scholarship fund in his honor.

For tickets, more information and to donate to the Professor Jared Saltzman Memorial Scholarship fund, visit tickets.bergen.edu. All performances will take place at Bergen’s main campus at 400 Paramus Road in Paramus.

“Listen to the Black Chick Sing: A Ritual” by Thomas O’Neill, Ed.D. will be performed on Thursday, September 25, 11 a.m.

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
