Burglar Takes Jewelry, Handbags: Franklin Lakes PD Blotter

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ – Franklin Lakes police responded to several incidents on Oct. 8 including a reported burglary.

Oct. 8

• 9:33 PM – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rt 208, Francis Dorsch age 51 of Butler, NJ was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine and Heroin. PO Eric Rosado was the arresting officer.
• 2:34 PM - As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Avenue, Awen Al-Matarneh age 20 of Clifton, NJ was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Illegal Possession of a Stun Gun. PO Christopher O’Brien was the arresting officer.
• 6:32 AM – A Longbow Dr resident reported that during the overnight, unknown persons burglarized the residence. Entry was gained by breaking a rear slider door. The primary focus of the burglary was the master bedroom. A yet to be determined amount of jewelry and handbags were taken. The Bergen County Sheriff’s Department BCI Unit processed the crime scene.
