Construction Worker Injured At Franklin Lakes Job Site: Cops
A construction worker sustained severe head trauma after a large sheet of metal fell on him at a job site in Franklin Lakes, police said.
FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ - A 59-year-old construction worker sustained severe head trauma after a large sheet of metal fell on him at a job site in Franklin Lakes Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Around 8:40 a.m., police received a 911 call reporting a man who was injured while working construction on borough-owned property behind the Franklin Lakes Fire Department on Bender Court, Capt. John Bakelaar said.
First responders found James Weiss, an employee of Altona Metal Works, seriously injured, the captain said. The Saddle Brook man was taken by helicopter to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, Bakelaar said.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will be conducting an investigation into the incident, the captain said.
