Police say entry was gained through the home's rear sliding door.

Police say “it appears that jewelry was taken” from a Franklin Lakes home that was burglarized Saturday night.

The homeowner called police just before 10 p.m. on March 7 to report that “unknown persons had burglarized their house” sometime between 5:40 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. that evening, Franklin Lakes Detective Lieutenant John Bakelaar said.

Entry was believed to be gained through the home’s rear sliding door and the bedrooms had been ransacked.
