Former DSM Pharmaceuticals Office Manager, Wyckoff Church Member Dies At 81
A former 20-year worker at DSM Pharma Chemicals and "esteemed" member of a Wyckoff church died last week, her obituary said.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A former office manager and executive assistant at DSM Pharma Chemicals in Saddle Brook, and "esteemed member" of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff, died last week at the age of 81, her obituary published by Vander Plaat Funeral Home said.
May Grammatikos, a 30-year Mahwah resident and Fort Lee High School graduate, passed away peacefully in her home on Sept. 30 after a long battle with cancer, her obituary said.
Born in New York in 1941, Grammatikos is survived by her husband Dimitrios, her two sons, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, whom she "adored beyond measure," her obituary said. She was proud of her Greek ethnicity, her Greek Orthodox religion and the role Greece played in human history.

A "truly altruistic person at her core and a woman of deep Christian faith," May always volunteered her services to the church, her obituary said.
"It was with great pride and personal joy when she was recognized earlier this year by the church and presented with a plaque from the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of New Jersey, which states: 'Your altruistic acts of charity and compassion to the least among us are truly a vivid and concrete expression of your genuine faith and love for our Lord Jesus Christ and should be emulated by all,' the obituary added.

Her work ethic, personality and disposition earned her the admiration and respect of her coworkers and supervisors, the obituary continued. She will also be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
