Local Teens Prep—and Primp—for Charity Singing Competition
Teen Kula Idol Contest held Friday night at Indian Hills.
Ten talented local teen performers will take the stage at l Friday night to compete in “Teen Kula Idol.” This charity singing competition
benefits Teen Kula for Karma, a non-profit organization dedicated to
providing yoga to children with cancer, autism, and other developmental
disabilities as well as at risk youth.
The night will also feature performances by the bands Steel Train and Meadowland, and a hip hop dance performance by the Jimmy Locust Dance Troupe. Z100’s Skeery Jones and TJ the DJ will be emceeing.
In preparation for the event, the contestants joined at Salon Elisabeth in Midland Park where the stylists donated their time to create new hair and makeup styles fitting of a rock star. Elisabeth Wolfson, owner of Salon Elisabeth, said, “It is great to give back to the community in such a fun way. I'm proud to join these talented kids in helping Kula for Karma.”
