Ramapo Spring Musical Hits Stage This Week
The Ramapo High School Spring Musical will be a performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

The spring musical at Ramapo High School this year is the presentation of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. There will be three performances this week in the Harry K. Berkheuser Performing Arts Center of Ramapo High School.
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy that was nominated for six Tony Awards in 2005 and took home two of them, Best Book of a Musical and Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical.
There will be three productions of the musical starting with opening night on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. There will also be a Friday, April 26 and a Saturday, April 27 performance, both at 7 p.m.

The musical is known for the way it regularly and intentionally breaks the fourth wall. During the performance the audience is not only addressed but asked to participate. Four audience members are asked to come on stage and to compete in the spelling be alongside six performers.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors via a pre-sale. Tickets will also be available at the door for the price of $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
