WYCKOFF, NJ — ShopRite employees put on their dancing shoes for a recent "Caring Program" event, sponsored by Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Wyckoff, to fill the shelves of local food pantries.

For Hunger Action Month in September, ShopRite Partners In Caring joined forces with the "fabulous and talented" dance team to raise awareness of and take action against the causes and effects of hunger, the store said on Facebook.

"Hunger is everywhere; it is not an illusion," studio owner Mykhailo Anufriiev said. "We may not even realize when our neighbors are struggling to put food on the table."
