The Week Ahead

The Franklin Lakes Board of Education is holding a public hearing on its proposed budget at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Franklin Avenue Middle School.

FAMS will be hosting Broadway Night at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Indian Hills Comedy Night will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. and the Senior Class Fashion Show is Friday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. At Ramapo this week, the University Program's Musical Showcase will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday in the auditorium. 

Bridge Class for the absolute beginner starts Monday at 1 p.m. with classes taught by Ellen Dutcher, an ACBL-accredited teacher and club director. The course, held at the library, runs through nine consecutive Mondays, where students will have fun playing cards the entire time. 

Also at the library this week, a course on genealogy for kids on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m., Lady Bird, Pat and Betty: Tea for Three with Elaine Bromka on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Bryan's Run, a 5K charity race, will be held starting at the Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The race begins at 9 a.m. and follows the same route as the Reindeer Run. 

Also on Saturday, Canines on the Catwalk will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Knight's of Columbus in Oakland.
