Tuesday: School Budget Hearing

1. The Franklin Lakes Board of Education will be holding a public budget hearing tonight at 8 p.m. at Franklin Avenue Middle School. 

2. Watercolor for beginners, the Senior arts class, will be held at 1 p.m. at the Community Center. The class is $4. 

3. The Ramapo Indian Hills School District is accepting nominations of outstanding teachers. The deadline is April 1. 

4. The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation Fine Arts and Crafts Fair is returning to Franklin Lakes May 14 and 15. Vendors are needed! Anyone interested should contact Mary Ellen Marra of Premiere Productions LLC at 201-857-3930.

5. A teen poetry contest, open to Franklin Lakes students in grades 6 to 12, is ongoing. Entries of an original poem or song, no longer than 250 words, can be submitted at the Franklin Lakes Public Library or sent directly to kate_thelibrarian@yahoo.com. Deadline is April 5.
