There's no business like FLOW business, more good news about taxes, our Mom Patch Columnist goes Super hero and there's a new addition to Abma's Farm.

FLOW Follies 25th Annual production began its four-show run on Thursday night. Over the past quarter of a century, the parent run variety show has raised more than $400,000 in scholarships for students at Ramapo and Indian Hills. The final performance will be held today at 2 p.m. Be sure to check out our sneak preview video.

Four candidates are vying for three seast in the local school board election on April 27. No Franklin Lakes seats are open on the Ramapo Indian Hills board this year.

The Ramapo-Indian Hills Board of Education introduced its $49 million budget, which reflects a 2.83 percent increase in spending and a 0.24 percent decrease to the tax levy. If approved in the April 27 election, the average home in Franklin Lakes and Oakland will pay $34 less while Wyckoff residents will pay about $94 more.

Between the local and regional school board, and the municipal portion of the tax levy, the average Franklin Lakes homeowner will pay about $450 less in taxes, however that doesn’t factor in the county’s portion. When those figures become available, you can be sure Patch will let you know.

In local deals this week, we hit up Franklin Square, also known as the strip mall next to Colony Florist, who is having a spring special on tulips.

Also in business, Patch talked  to the owners of Something Sophisticated, an upscale mens clothing store in the Urban Farms Shopping Center.  The shop opened less than a year ago by two local entrepreneurs also boasts its own clothing line. It’s logo, the cannon has the tagline “conquer style”

Speaking of conquering, the producers of TV show Secret Millionaire is hoping to conquer poverty one family at a time. They are looking for Philanthropic Families in the Franklin Lakes area for new documentary series.

In a Patch exculsive this week, we sat down with Paramus police office Rachel Morgan who is fighting back from being shot on Superbowl Sunday. Morgan, who is getting stronger every day, is determined to make it back to her dream job soon.

And lastly, in a sure sign that Spring is near, Abma’s Farm welcomed two baby goats last week in its Wyckoff petting zoo.
