Wyckoff Police says that although all roads have been treated, motorists should avoid traveling after a wintry hazardous mix of precipitation hit New Jersey and forced Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes Public Schools to have a delayed opening Monday.

The Wyckoff Department of Public Works was called out during the overnight hours to salt the roadways due to the ice and were contacted again this morning after another round of sleet made for dangerous icing conditions, Wyckoff Police Chief Benjamin C. Fox said.

“Right now all roads have been salted and are generally in good shape, however it is still sleeting and snow is expected later today,” Chief Fox said.
