1 Dead, Another Injured In Brooklyn Double Shooting, NYPD Says

The identity of the 21-year-old man has not been released pending family notification.

NEW YORK CITY — A 21-year-old man was fatally shot, and another person was injured in a shooting in Brooklyn Thursday night, police announced on Friday.

The incident happened around 10:40 p.m. in front of 9323 Avenue L, police said.

Officers found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head and a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the right leg.

Both victims were transported to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where the 21-year-old succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The 25-year-old victim is in stable condition.

The 21-year-old has since been identified as Mitch Innocent of Elmont.

There have been no arrests at this time, and an investigation remains ongoing.
