Woman Killed In 3-Alarm Fire At Brooklyn Home: FDNY
The blaze started around 8:30 a.m. at 1237 67th Street in Dyker Heights.

BROOKLYN, NY — A woman was killed in a three-alarm fire at a Brooklyn home Tuesday morning.
The blaze started around 8:03 a.m. at 1237 67th Street in Dyker Heights, the FDNY said.
At 9:43 a.m., firefighters were still on scene working to put the fire under control, according to a FDNY post on X.

The location has been the site of five previous fires within the last two year, official said.
A 40-year-old woman was found unresponsive in the alleyway of the home and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The FDNY officials said the woman was squatting in the home illegally.
Around 10:24 a.m., the fire was put under control.
In 2023, alleged squatters caused a fire that significantly damaged the house. A 46-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection to that incident, according to multiple media reports.
The FDNY fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending family notification.
