Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:
- Excavation is underway for the planned Alloy Block building complex to be constructed at 100 Flatbush Ave. in Downtown Brooklyn. The project will consist of the 840-foot-tall structure at 80 Flatbush Ave., along with the 44-story, 482-foot-tall tower at 100 Flatbush Ave. Foundation work is progressing on the site on the shorter tower, which will be New York City's first all-electric tower. - The Underground Donut Tour is a celebration of the best doughnuts a city has to offer, and it has been announced that the tour will expand to Brooklyn. Brooklyn will mark the eighth city to participate in the event, and the tour will make its way between four of the borough's best doughnut shops. Sightseeing and local history will be intertwined with the doughnut-themed walking tour beginning on Dec. 18. (bake Magazine)
- A 20-year-old Brooklyn man was accused of attempted robbery at a gas station in Upstate New York. At approximately 1:23 a.m., Tyson Bombard approached the SUNOCO in the village of Canton, New York with a hunting knife, demanding money from the cash register.
