3 Dead, 9 Hurt In Shooting At Bar In Brooklyn: Police
There were multiple shooters, but none were in custody as of Sunday morning, police said.

NEW YORK — Three people were killed and nine were injured when multiple shooters opened fire in a business early Sunday in Crown Heights, according to authorities, who said no one was in custody as of later that morning.
Emergency personnel received multiple 911 calls around 3:30 a.m. from Taste of the City Lounge in the 900 block of Franklin Avenue, with officers arriving to find the victims inside, Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said during a press conference about 9 a.m. Sunday available on Facebook.
Those killed included a 19-year-old man, a 27-year-old man and a 35-year-old man. The other victims were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening.

A dispute in the crowded club led to gunfire from multiple shooters, according to Tisch. Investigators believe up to four shooters opened fire at the lounge. The violence appeared to be gang-related, Tisch told reporters. Investigators found at least 42 shell casings from 9 mm and .45-caliber weapons and a firearm in a nearby street.
Mayor Eric Adams said crisis management teams had been mobilized to provide trauma services and facilitate mediation efforts with the victims' friends and families to try to stop any retaliation. He asked members of the public who might have information about the shooting to help investigators by calling NYPD's crime stoppers line, 800-577-8477.

"If you were inside the club, if you heard individuals talking about this shooting, if you witnessed someone fleeing the location, every piece of information will allow us to put the puzzle together," Adams said.
The business — which is a restaurant, bar and hookah lounge — is “working closely with law enforcement and will continue to fully cooperate,” Taste of the City said in an Instagram story Sunday. There was a non-fatal shooting at the lounge in November of 2024, Tisch said.
“We are devastated by the tragic events that took place inside our establishment,” the restaurant's story said.
“Our hearts are broken for the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives, and we are keeping all who were injured in our prayers during this unimaginably difficult time.”
Tisch noted the city's 2025 rates of shootings and shooting victims were at a record low seven months into the year.
“It’s a terrible shooting that occurred in the city of New York,” Tisch said. “Something like this is, of course, thank God, an anomally, and it’s a terrible thing that happened this morning but we’re going to investigate it and get to the bottom of what went down.”
