  1. An arrest has been made in the incident involving antisemitic slurs, and spit being directed toward an 8-year-old boy. 21-year-old Christina Darling was identified by the NYPD and charged with aggravated harassment as a hate crime, endangering the welfare of a child, and menacing. No injuries were reported in the incident, and the story has made global headlines within the Jewish community. (NBC New York)
  2. A bicyclist was left critically injured in an early morning hit-and-run accident. At approximately 12:10 a.m. on Friday morning, police responded to a 911 call regarding a collision at the intersection of 10th Avenue and 18th Street. Officers found the unidentified male bicyclist lying unconscious and unresponsive in the street, and he was transported to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition.   3. A man was shot in the leg during a robbery in Bensonhurst. The suspect approached the 30-year-old victim and demanded cash from him before shooting him in front of a 79th Street residential building at approximately 8 p.m. The victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center and is expected to make a full recovery.
