B, C, A, D, F and G Trains All Running With Delays Tuesday Night (Updated)

Tuesday, April 5, may go down in history as the MTA's worst day ever.

NEW YORK CITY, NY — To round out a long day of NYC subway insanity and tragedy affecting thousands of commuters, "multiple incidents in Manhattan and Brooklyn" caused the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to completely halt the B and C Trains in both directions Tuesday evening.

The MTA was forced to suspend B and C service because of broken rails at 103rd Street station and the Fulton Street station, spokesman Chris McKniff told Patch.

Service on both lines was restored as of 8:45 p.m., albeit with "extensive delays."

The A, D and F Trains were also running with delays Tuesday night due to "signal issues" earlier in the day at the Bergen Street station in the Park Slope/Prospect Heights area, according to the MTA.

The G Train, which had likewise seen extensive delays throughout the evening, was reportedly running normally again by 8:45 p.m.

"It's been a tough day... sort of a domino effect all day long," McKniff said.
