🌱 Belt Parkway Police Shooting + Bushwick Ave. Pedestrian Struck

First, today's weather:

Heavy rain, with a high of 64 and a low of 48.

Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

1. Police shot and killed a man on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn. The initial investigation revealed that an NYPD officer was conducting a traffic stop when the 65-year-old suspect ran into her cruiser. The officer confronted him on the highway before firing shots; the suspect was armed at the time. (ABC 7 New York)
2. A 32-year old man was critically injured while crossing Bushwick Avenue. The pedestrian was struck by a car driven by an 18 year old. The driver was taken into custody, but no charges have been filed. (CBS New York)
