BK Cop Cuffed For Choking Girlfriend In Front Of Child: NYPD, Report

BROOKLYN, NY — An off-duty Brooklyn cop accused of choking his girlfriend in front of their two-year-old son was arrested Saturday, according to the NYPD, court records and reports.
Elisamuel Samboy, 28, was arrested in Brooklyn's 73rd Precinct, which covers Brownsville and parts of Ocean Hill, about 3:10 a.m. Saturday, according to the NYPD.
Samboy fought on July 30 with his girlfriend at her Brownsville apartment, grabbing her arm and forcing her out of the house, according to court records and the New York Post.

The woman was left with bruises around the neck after he choked her with both hands, causing her to have trouble breathing, court records show.
Their toddler was at home during the encounter but not injured, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney's office.

Samboy pleaded not guilty to charges that include harassment and endangering the welfare of a child at his arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court Saturday, court records show.
The Brooklyn cop was released and is due back in court on Oct. 18.
Samboy has served in the 83rd precinct, which covers Bushwick, since 2021, according to his department profile.
