Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy announced the election of Craig Kanarick to their Board of Directors on Wednesday. Kanarick is the CEO of New York Cruise Lines and is a resident of Cobble Hill. Kanarick is the latest in a dedicated group of volunteers who has joined the Board in 2021. (Brooklyn Daily Eagle)
  2. East New York's 'Mural for Good' was designed by local youth who put up the artworks as well as helped with food distribution in their community. The project is part of the Murals for Good program sponsored by Carnegie Hall. The piece is titled "We Are Better Together." (eastnewyork.com)
  3. Brooklyn could become a real estate 'cease-and-desist' zone under a new law. The legislation is intended to protect Brooklyn homeowners from frequent solicitation from real estate brokers. If the entire borough were to be made a cease-and-desist zone, real estate investors would be prohibited from contacting residents about selling their home. (Brooklyn Paper)
