🌱 Brooklyn Teacher Injured In Tragic Hit And Run +Stubborn Blaze

Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:
- Firefighters spent hours on Friday morning trying to put out a stubborn blaze in Brooklyn Heights. Hundreds of firefighters rushed to the scene, while the building and the two adjacent buildings were evacuated. Four firefighters suffered minor injuries, but luckily none were severely hurt or killed in the fire. (CBS New York)
- A 67-year-old Brooklyn teacher suffered a serious head injury in an apparent hit-and-run accident. Police are searching for the driver of a black Nissan sedan that hit Dorothy Gargano at a Crown Heights intersection as she attempted to cross the street. The driver did not stop after colliding with her. Gargano was transported to the NY-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition. (NBC New York)
- One man was killed, and two were hurt in a tragic shooting in Canarsie. Aaron Vincent, 28, was shot in the throat and died at a local hospital, while the two other victims are expected to survive. Police said that the shooting was targeted; no arrests have been made as of yet. (CBS New York)
