Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:

1. Following the positive feedback of the recently opened Staten Island Fast Ferry to Manhattan, riders are calling for the addition of a route to South Brooklyn. Advocates and elected officials gathered in St. George to rally for the opening of a new ferry line. Many believe the ferry could play a crucial role in reducing the city's reliance on cars. 2. Three in custody for drug possession after a man was found dead in a Brooklyn apartment. Police responded to the 911 call at 7 Hegeman St. where they found two women and one man in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. When the authorities returned to collect the gun, they found an unidentified man with multiple gunshot wounds under the bed. (AMNY)
3. A free after-school boxing and self-defense program for teens is changing lives. LeftHookNYC is offering the free program at NYCHA’s Hope Gardens Community Center. Ramon Pebenito started the program in the hopes of reaching many Brooklyn youths with untapped potential. (WPIX 11 New York)
