Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. Coronavirus cases are up by 50 percent, according to a CDC report. Cases have been climbing throughout the nation, with nearly 118,000 cases being reported daily as of Dec. 10. The borough averaged 212.4 new cases per 100,000 residents between Dec. 6-12. (Brooklyn Patch)
  2. A man was pulled from his car and robbed in Brooklyn on Sunday morning at approximately 7:15 a.m. The 32 year old was sleeping in the backseat of his parked car in Sunset Hills when he was attacked and pulled from the car. The suspect made off with $300 before fleeing on a CitiBike. Luckily the victim was not seriously injured. (FOX 5 NY)
  3. The Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York announced the opening of a state-of-the-art IVF laboratory in Downtown Brooklyn. Located at 430 Albee Square, the center is the newest of the RMA of New York's 13 laboratories, and the fourth IVF laboratory.
