Drunk Driver Charged In Fatal Crash That Killed 1 Person

BROOKLYN, NY — An accused drunk driver has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal crash that killed a man in Brooklyn on Thursday, police announced.
Winston Reid, 58, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated, and driving while ability impaired, police said.
Reid, who was driving a 2011 Ford van, is accused of striking a 58-year-old man as he walked in the crosswalk near Church Avenue and East 55th Street around 1:15 p.m.

The victim was taken to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Reid remained at the scene and was taken into custody after the incident.
