Off-Duty NYPD Officer Charged With DWI In Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY — An off-duty officer has been accused of DWI following an arrest in Brooklyn on Sunday.

Brandon Aldas Castro, 28, was taken into custody around 12:57 p.m. within the confines of 83rd Precinct, police said.

He was charged with DWI, DWAI, leaving the scene of a collision with injuries and refusal to take a breathalyzer test.

According to a PIX11 report, Aldas Castro is also accused of backing into a vehicle.
