No injuries were reported in connection with the fire. (U.S. News & World Report)
  2. An attempted traffic stop in Cypress Hills ended in a car crash and shots fired early Wednesday morning. Police officers attempted to question two men who were wanted for breaking into cars; when the officer approached the two men then jumped into their SUV and fled the scene. The suspects eventually crashed before exchanging gunshots with the authorities, and fleeing on foot. The suspects remain at large. (WABC-TV)
