FDNY Battles 3-Alarm Fire At Brooklyn Apartment Building

BROOKLYN, NY — Firefighters are responding to a three-alarm fire that broke out in a Brooklyn apartment building Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was reported at 922 Lafayette Avenue around 1:30 p.m. The fire quickly spread and damaged adjacent residential units on Lafayette Avenue, the FDNY said.

According to reports, two firefighters may have suffered minor injuries.

The following streets are temporarily closed following the fire:

  • Lewis Avenue from Greene Avenue to DeKalb Avenue
  • Lafayette Avenue from Marcus Garvey Boulevard to Stuyvesant Avenue
