Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:

  1. Daily ferry service on the Southern Brooklyn line will be expanded to Governors Island year-round. The city's Economic Development Corporation promised to have the stop included on the ferry route by Jan. 24. Additionally, a stop will be added between Sunset Park’s Brooklyn Army Terminal and Red Hook. (Brooklyn Paper)
  2. Renderings have revealed a first look at the city's proposed Interborough Expressway. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul revealed plans for the ambitious project, which could potentially bring passengers from Bay Ridge to Jackson Heights, Queens, in 40 minutes. The proposed line could also connect up to 17 different subway lines throughout Brooklyn and Queens. (NBC New York)
  3. Two suspects are wanted by authorities for tasing a man and stealing his car keys in the early morning of Jan. 18. The 28-year-old victim had run out of gas and took an Uber to a nearby gas station where he was offered a ride back to his vehicle by two men in a Nissan Altima. Upon entering the car, the two men tased him multiple times and stole his car keys, before letting him out at a local deli. (AMNY)
