Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:
- An 18-year-old Brooklyn man is clinging to life after being shot in the head at M&M Grocery Store in Flatbush. The teenager was taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. There have not yet been any arrests made. (amNY)
- A Bath Beach collision on Sunday ended with injuries. At this time, the collision on Bay 8th Street remains under investigation. (Local Accident Reports)
- Incoming Brooklyn councilman Ari Kagan is making a push to save the Coney Island boardwalk. Mayor Bill de Blasio's plan to renovate the boardwalk would include plastic planks and concrete, while Kagan hopes to prevent the old-fashioned existing boardwalk from being replaced. The city has yet to decide which part of the walkway to target for phase one of the $114.5 million dollar project. (New York Post)
