1-Year-Old Girl Found Dead In Apparent Drowning At NYC Daycare
It is not known at this time how the girl ended up in the pool.
NEW YORK CITY — A 1-year-old girl was found dead after apparently drowning in the pool of a New York City day care, according to police and reports.
The incident happened at a home located at 2117 Story Avenue in Castle Hill around 12:50 p.m. on Friday, police said.
Officers found the child unresponsive at the scene. The 1-year-old was taken to Montefiore Einstein Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to a PIX11 News and New York Post report.

The city's medical examiner will determine the official cause of death. How the girl ended up in the pool is not known at this time.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
