GOP Leads By Just 270 Votes In One Brooklyn Election Too Close To Call
With 98.92 percent of votes counted, neither candidate has conceded or claimed victory. Could a red seat turn blue?

BROOKLYN, NY — As many politicians in Brooklyn claim victory or concede defeat in Tuesday's election, all eyes are now on Assembly District 45, where the race is still too close to call.
In the 45th Assembly District, which represents parts of Midwood, Manhattan Beach, Brighton Beach, Gravesend and Sheepshead Bay, 98.92 percent of votes have been counted, and neither candidate has conceded or claimed victory as of Wednesday at 2 p.m.
Just 270 votes separate Assembly District 45 candidates Michael Novakhov and Joey Cohen-Saban.

Novakhov, the Republican incumbent, leads by a slim margin with 50.24 percent of the vote, or 14,762 votes, and Cohen-Saban follows close behind with 49.32 percent of the vote, or 14,492 votes, according to the unofficial results from the Brooklyn Board of Elections.
It all comes down to remaining absentee ballots, provisional ballots, and any other outstanding votes, which the Board of Elections will count in the coming days.
