Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:

1. Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the Jay Street Busway in Brooklyn will be made permanent. Opened in 2020 as part of the Better Buses Restart Plan, the busway serves 47,000 people on seven different bus routes. Busways have proven an effective tool for creating faster and more reliable bus service. (nyc.gov)
2. NYC's Brooklyn Botanic Garden announced its very first light show, open to visitors from Nov. 19 to Jan. 9. The show, titled, "Lightscape" will wind its way through the 52-acre garden to accompanying music. Visitors can enjoy hot cider and hot chocolate, as well as make their own s'mores. (Time Out New York)
