'The Joy Of Target' Coming To New Brooklyn Location This Weekend
A new Target location is slated to open Sunday at Brooklyn's Kings Plaza.

BROOKLYN, NY — A new Target location is slated to open Sunday in Kings Plaza shopping center, bringing southern Brooklyn the "joy of Target," representatives said.
The new 90,160-square-foot store will be Brooklyn's 10th location sat near a Burlington Coat Factory and open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Saturday.
In classic Brooklyn style, shoppers will be met with a mural of Biggie Smalls outside the store.

Inside will sit a CVS pharmacy and Starbucks counter, and large windows will allow natural light into the three-story shopping hub, representatives said.
“We're excited to bring the joy of Target to new guests and help them discover a unique shopping experience tailored to the needs of the Brooklyn community," said Melody Pellot, store director of the new location.

Target landed the lease for the former J.C. Penney in 2021, TheRealDeal reported.
The new Brooklyn location will hire some 200 locals, and it's not the only expected addition — Target plans to open 20 stores this year across the country, representatives said.
