Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:
- Police are looking for the suspect in the case of a stolen SUV. According to the report, a woman left her 2010 Lexus RX 350 running on Troutman Street and Myrtle Avenue when it was stolen in broad daylight. Surveillance footage shows the suspect entering the SUV and driving off alone. (CBS New York)
- Police in Brooklyn chased a man who allegedly stole a school-bus and drove it to a crashing halt. The driver crashed into a number of cars while driving before coming to a stop. Police eventually apprehended the driver and took him into custody. (NBC New York)
- Brooklyn among the locations of what are now five cases of the omicron variant in New York State. Reports state that at least one of the confirmed cases had traveled from South Africa. Gov. Kathy Hochul tweeted in response to the news. (News 12 Bronx)
