Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. A suspect was wounded in a police shooting after he tried to rob a bank for the second time this week. The suspect fired at two officers before he himself was dealt a gunshot wound to his neck. He was transported to Brookdale Hospital in critical but stable condition. (CBS New York)
  2. A Brooklyn real estate developer proposed a rezoning of a four-block area near Broadway Junction that would surround the transit hub with mixed use towers. Totem Group, the firm responsible for the proposal, has said that the project would create about 664 housing units. Their plan would increase manufacturing, commercial, and residential densities across the site that city officials have been eyeing for years. (City Limits)
  3. The NYPD released a shirtless photo of an armed robbery suspect, Gregory Adams. Adams is wanted for an armed mugging in a Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment building. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. (Yahoo News)
  4. A teen was arrested in a September stray-bullet shooting that left a NYU student wounded at the school's Brooklyn campus. Police arrested the 17 year old along with 16 other alleged gang members just after 5 a.m. on Tuesday. The arrest comes more than three months after the 19-year-old victim was shot in the arm.
