BROOKLYN, NY — A 29-year-old man was shot by an unknown attacker earlier this month while walking on a Brooklyn street, according to police.

The shooting happened around 2:47 a.m. on June 4, in the vicinity of 654 Flatbush Avenue, across from Hawthorne Street, police said.

The man, identified by police as the suspect shown in the released image, allegedly approached the victim, pulled out a gun, and fired multiple rounds, striking him in the stomach.

The victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County with serious injuries but was listed in stable condition, officials said. The assailant fled the scene on foot, heading in an unknown direction.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing, an NYPD spokesperson said.

As of Wednesday morning, there was no available description of the assailants.
