Teen Shot At Brooklyn Community Center In Critical Condition: NYPD
A 17-year-old shot near the remodeled Bedford Union Armory had a loaded gun and will be arrested once recovered, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A 17-year-old shot near the remodeled Bedford Union Armory was in critical condition Wednesday — and was expected to be arrested on weapons charges, police said.
The teenager was found with a gunshot wound in the abdomen about 7:30 p.m. in the Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center on Bedford Avenue between Union and President streets, according to the NYPD.
The 17-year-old got in a fight with his suspected shooter — who in a Beatles shirt — outside the community center Tuesday, the New York Daily News reported. The suspected shooter pulled a gun and shot the teenager in both arms and the upper body, according to the Daily News.

He was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.
But the wounded teen was also found with a loaded firearm — and he was expected to be arrested once recovered, police said. Police said it remained under investigation whether the he had shot at anyone.

The suspected shooter ran, and there were no arrests Wednesday, police said.
