🌱 Tragic Jamaica Bay Drowning + 9-Year-Old Avoids Kidnapping

Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:
- A dramatic rescue occurred on Sunday morning as a man was found floating in Jamaica Bay. Tragically, the rescuers' efforts did not prove to be enough to save the man's life as he later died in Brookdale Hospital. According to FDNY sources, they received a report of a man jumping into the water. (AMNY)
- The NYPD are searching for a man who allegedly followed a 9-year-old down a Brooklyn street, touched her, and tried to lure her into his van. Thankfully the child was able to get away, as the suspect was last seen fleeing down Avenue Z. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a ski mask and blue jeans; no injuries were reported. (WABC-TV)
- Two people were the victims of a shooting in Brooklyn, and police that they were not the intended targets. Authorites are searching for an 18-year-old gunman who opened fire on Vernon Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Both victims were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. (CBS New York)
- Police are searching for one suspect in connection to six separate robberies between October 29 and November 14. Police have said that no injuries have been reported as a result of any of the six incidents. In each instance the suspect has demanded cash from the victims. (WPIX 11 New York)
