Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. A woman and her dog were shot to death inside a Brooklyn bodega. The 36-year-old woman was inside the store on DeKalb Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant when the suspect opened fire from outside the store. No arrests have been made in the incident. (CBS New York)
  2. Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a flower shop at gunpoint on New Year's Day. A 17 year old was working at Flores Con Amor in Bushwick when the suspect walked in and demanded money, showing a firearm in his waistband. Luckily the girl was unharmed, and the suspect fled on foot with $30 cash. (CBS New York)
  3. The massive renovation to the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum subway station has been completed. The large project, undertaken by Urbahn Architects and contractor Gramercy Group, included the addition of three hydraulic elevators. (Mass Transit Magazine)
