Woman Shot And Killed In Brooklyn, No Arrests Made Yet

The victim's identity has not been released pending family notification.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 36-year-old woman was shot and killed in the middle of a crosswalk in Brooklyn Wednesday night, police said.

Officers found the woman at the intersection of Carlton Avenue and Pacific Avenue in Prospect Heights around 10:22 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. She has since been identified as Tamika Powell.
