317 Main Street Of Farmingdale Repeats As Best American/Continental Restaurant On LI
317 has won the award back-to-back years. "It was a real team effort to have accomplished this two years in a row," chef Eric LeVine said.
FARMINGDALE, NY — 317 Main Street of Farmingdale was named the Best American/Continental Restaurant on Long Island in the 2025 Bethpage Best of Long Island Awards, winning the category for the second year in a row.
"When we found out, I was very proud of my team," chef Eric LeVine, a managing partner at the restaurant, told Patch. "It was a big team effort between my partners, staff, kitchen and dining room. Hostesses, bartenders, bussers, everybody. It was a real team effort to have accomplished this two years in a row."
LeVine attributed 317 Main Street's consistent quality to staff retention, which he called a "great thing."

"We have a consistency of people. We have consistency of execution on things," he said. "It’s really about the team being consistent for our guests every day. And getting to know our guests, also."
Joe Fortuna, co-owner of 317 Main Street, said LeVine, a two-time Long Island Chef of the Year winner in the Bethpage Best of LI Awards, is a "great asset" to the 317 Main Street team.

"It kind of completes the whole picture," Fortuna said. "Winning these awards — it’s good service, it’s great atmosphere, it’s great food, and our marketing team coming up with different ideas. We’re always evolving. Always changing. Always thinking about how we could make the best experience for our customers. It starts with great food, and that’s where Eric comes into play."

317 Main Street opened at the address it shares with its name in summer 2019. LeVine, a champion of The Food Network's "Chopped," who was also featured on "Beat Bobby Flay," "Food Paradise," "Alex Vs America" and "Morimoto's Sushi Master" among other shows, brought his culinary talents to Long Island, building a robust and well-rounded menu.
LeVine put forth a well-rounded gastropub menu at 317, including traditional favorites like burgers, macaroni and cheese, sandwiches, tacos, entrees and around-the-year appetizers. But part of the menu is always changing. There are seasonal entrees, a burger of the week, rotating appetizers and desserts, and an evolving cocktail list.
LeVine thanked the restaurant's supporters for the last five-and-a-half years.
"Thank you for keeping us on our toes to be better every day," he said. "To work hard to create new experiences. Just to really always evolve. Never standing still and always being not 'me too,' but 'me different,' and creating all these different opportunities and options for our customers."
The restaurant offers brunch, a weekly French toast, and events like Boozy Brunch Bingo, Music Bingo, cooking classes, live music, and psychic nights. LeVine is planning a Chefs Series where he intends to bring in chefs for dinner series.
Then there's the Chef's Table, where customers pay for a specialized menu and interact with LeVine as they get to watch the bustle of 317's open kitchen from a front-row seat.
Asked to provide a message to his customers, LeVine said, "Fire it up!"
