Adventureland To Debut New Haunted Ride This Year
The ride replaces the old haunted house and will feature state-of-the-art effects and animatronics.

When Adventureland opens for its 56th season in March, it will be ghost-free for the first time in years. At least for a little while. Adventureland has removed its old haunted house and is replacing it with a brand new Mystery Mansion ride.
Built and designed by Gosetto, an Italian company, the Mystery Mansion is the park's first ever two-story haunted ride. The giant blue building with a manor-type facade is packed with state-of-the-art animatronics and special effects lighting and sound.
Riders 48 inches and taller will sit in bright red, floorless ski-lift style seats, each complete with a gargantuan tarantula to escort guests through the rooms. As riders are carted around the mansion, they will get the chance to see Adventureland’s midway like never before; each chairlift will exit the mansion briefly during its tour of the second floor, allowing riders to see the park in action below, before re-entering the mansion for the second half of the ride.

The old haunted house was not just discarded, though. It was given to another family theme park in Texas, so it can continue to be enjoyed.
Adventureland is set to open for its 56th season on March 24. However, Mystery Mansion may not be open then, and will likely open in April or May.
