Cops: Man Stole Fitbit, Fled Security in Huntington Station

Suffolk County Police seek the public’s help to identify and locate a man they say stole from a store in Huntington Station.
Police say a man entered the Best Buy at 148 Walt Whitman Road on Feb. 12 at 5:41 p.m. and stole a Fitbit bracelet, placed it in his jacket and attempted to leave the store. The man was stopped by security but refused to hand the bracelet over. The man fled the store in a black Nissan Altima with the New York license plate GSR6696.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
