Enjoy A Family Friendly Halloween Movie At Stew Leonard's
Both of the chain's Long Island locations will be offering tons of fun Halloween events this month.

Families looking for a fun, and little spooky, way to spend Friday nights this October can look to Stew Leonard's Long Island stores, which will be featuring family friendly movies all month.
The East Meadow Stew Leonard's will be showing "Monsters Inc." on Oct. 5 and "Toy Story of Terror!" on Oct. 19. The Farmingdale location will be screening "Casper" on Oct. 12 and "Toy Story of Terror!" on Oct. 26. The showings start at 6 p.m.
Though the events are free, tickets are still required. To register, visit www.Eventbrite.com and search for Stew Leonard’s.

Movies are not all the Halloween fun that Stew's has planned, either. Pumpkin carver Lenny Calvin, former contestant on Food Network’s Halloween Wars Season 6, will be at the East Meadow store on Saturday, Oct. 20 and the Farmingdale store on Sunday, Oct. 21 to bewitch shoppers with his elaborate Halloween-themed carvings on the store’s pumpkins. The carving will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Garden Shop for customers to see and enjoy as they pick out their own pumpkins. The carver will use clay tools and X-Acto knives to create a spooky scene on the pumpkin.
On Friday, Oct. 19, the East Meadow store is holding a Halloween Glow in the Dark Dance party from 6 to 7 p.m. There will be a special dance floor and light machine for everyone to show off their best moves with Stew's costumed characters. Stew Leonard’s culinary team will also offer pizza, snacks and juice. Tickets for children age 6-12 are $14.99 each; parents who want to stay for the fun will be charged $10 each. To register and pay, visit www.Eventbrite.com and search for Stew Leonard’s in East Meadow.

And Stew Leonard's Barkfest is returning to both stores this month. On Oct. 27, customers may bring their pups dressed in their best Halloween costumes and enter for their chance to win a Bubba’s Barkery Gift Basket valued at $100, which contains fresh dog treats made in-house at Stew Leonard’s. To enter a dog, shoppers are asked to bring a small bag or can of dog food. All collected dog food will be donated to a local pet shelter. The event will begin at 4 p.m. at both stores, and a winner will be selected by a panel of Stew Leonard’s judges by 4:30 p.m. For complete rules, please visit one of the locations.
