FARMINGDALE, NY — Farmingdale Village has several events coming up, including the St. Patrick's Day Parade, Easter Egg Hunt, Youth Open Mic Night, and more.

The 9th annual Farmingdale St. Patrick's Day Parade is set for 1 p.m. March 12. Parade participants can meet around 12:30 p.m. to line-up at Northside Elementary School.

"We are proud to honor and announce Monsignor Mark P. Rowan of Saint Kilian Parish, as the 2023 Parade Grand Marshal!" Mayor Ralph Ekstrand said. "Join the community and celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Shop and dine in downtown Farmingdale ~ Home of the Culinary Quarter Mile ~ enjoy lunch before the parade, stay for dinner, drinks and fun with friends and family."

Youth Open Mic Night is set for 7 p.m. March 10 at Village Hall. People and groups 21 years old or younger can register in advance via email: openmicfarmingdale@gmail.com or can sign-up at the event. The event is free to attend or participate in, with limited seating inside Village Hall.

Another Youth Open Mic Night is planned for 7 p.m. April 21.

An Easter Egg Hunt and Meet the Easter Bunny event is scheduled for 11 a.m. sharp on April 1. People were encouraged by the village to arrive early, bring friends, family, and baskets. The event is free. Children 11 or younger can participate in the egg hunt. The event will be held on the Village Green at 361 Main Street.

The Farmingdale Community Summit Council's Expo and Health Fair is set to return on March 28 at the Farmingdale High School gym. The event is free to attend, but there is a fee for vendors.

The Mustang and Shelby Club of Long Island are planning the Charity Car Show in Municipal Lot 4 behind the firehouse from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 13. It is free for spectators to attend, while there is an entry fee for cars.

The Long Island Special Olympics Spring Games North are set to return to Farmingdale on May 6. The event will be held at the Sports Complex and Aquatic Center at Howitt Middle School.

Other upcoming events without announced dates include the Memorial Day Parade, Fire Department Spring Fair, Farmer's Market On The Green, Village Pops Concerts, Movies On The Green Music On Main, Art In the Park, Columbus Weekend Fair, and more.
