Farmingdale Man Fatally Struck While Crossing Seaford-Oyster Bay

A Farmingdale man who tried to cross the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway was fatally struck by a vehicle on Saturday morning, police say.

According to authorities, 22-year-old Christopher Brown was attempting to cross the southbound lanes when he was struck by a 2004 Toyota 4-Runner at Exit 7 in Bethpage at 3:45 a.m.

Brown suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced deceased by an Emergency Medical Technician.

The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is ongoing.
